Parboiled rice (indica parboiled rice) with its typical yellow color is currently the exclusive bulk product of Macedonian rice mills of Mistakidis Bros. S.A.

The Macedonian rice mills are able to process white rice as well. However, due to the high demand for indica parboiled rice, the latter covers the entire production capacity of the rice mills. The daily processing capacity of the rice mills is 500 mt. Similarly the daily capacity for hulling-milling-color sorting approximates 300 mt.

Parboiling allows for the preservation of all nutritive substances and natural vitamins of rice, which is undoubtedly one of the most healthy foods.

Furthermore, indica parboiled rice has great cooking qualities, as its grains remain separated and do not stick together during boiling, mainly thanks to their hardness. Simultaneously parboiled rice has a higher performance than other rice varieties.
